Frequently Asked Questions
What is permanent jewelry?
Permanent jewelry is custom-fitted jewelry that is welded together around your wrist, ankle, neck, or waist without a traditional clasp. The welding process creates a small spark, but the spark never touches your skin. The experience is quick, comfortable, and designed to create a piece that feels uniquely yours.
Does permanent jewelry hurt?
Not at all. The welding process is completely painless. A protective barrier is placed between your skin and the jewelry before your piece is welded.
Is permanent jewelry really permanent?
Permanent jewelry is designed for long-term wear, but it is not indestructible. Your piece can be removed whenever needed by carefully cutting the small jump ring that connects the chain. Save the chain if you would like it rewelded later.
How long does the appointment take?
Most permanent jewelry experiences take approximately 10 to 20 minutes per person. Your appointment includes selecting your chain and charms, receiving a custom fit, and having your piece welded.
Can I add a charm or a connector?
Yes! We offer a rotating selection of charms, connectors, birthstones, initials, symbols, and meaningful additions. Availability may vary by appointment, collection, or event.
Can I shower, swim, exercise, or travel with my jewelry?
Yes. Permanent jewelry is designed for everyday wear, including showering, exercising, sleeping, and traveling. Chlorine, harsh chemicals, lotions, and certain skincare products may affect the appearance of some materials over time.
Materials and Pricing
What materials do you offer?
Forever Adorned offers a curated selection of sterling silver, gold-filled, rose gold-filled, stainless steel, and solid 14k gold jewelry. Available materials and chain styles may vary.
How much does permanent jewelry cost?
Most pieces range from approximately $75 to $315, depending on the chain, material, placement, and any charms or connectors selected. Solid gold and specialty designs are priced separately.
Final pricing is confirmed before your chain is cut and welded.
What is the difference between gold-filled and gold-plated jewelry?
Gold-filled jewelry contains a significantly thicker layer of gold than traditional gold-plated jewelry, making it more durable and better suited for everyday wear. Proper care and your individual skin chemistry can still affect how any jewelry wears over time.
Can permanent jewelry tarnish?
Sterling silver may naturally develop a patina over time and can be polished. Gold-filled and solid gold pieces are designed for longer-lasting wear, while stainless steel is known for its durability. Exposure to chemicals, lotions, perfumes, and certain skincare products may affect the appearance of your jewelry.

Care, Repairs and Removal
How should I care for my jewelry?
Permanent jewelry is made for everyday life, but a little care goes a long way.
Avoid pulling, stretching, or repeatedly twisting your chain. Limit direct exposure to harsh chemicals, chlorine, cleaning products, perfumes, and lotions. Gently clean your jewelry with mild soap and water when needed, then pat it dry.
What happens if my jewelry breaks?
Forever Adorned offers a 30-day weld guarantee. If the original weld separates within 30 days, contact us so we can evaluate and reweld the piece when possible.
Damage to the chain itself, lost jewelry, stretched chains, improper care, or damage caused by pulling or snagging is not covered by the weld guarantee.
Rewelding services outside the guarantee period begin at $15. The original chain must be present and in wearable condition.
Can you repair jewelry purchased from another permanent jeweler?
In some cases, yes. The chain must be inspected first to confirm that it is compatible with our equipment and safe to weld. A service fee will apply, and we cannot guarantee the condition or longevity of jewelry purchased elsewhere.
How do I remove my permanent jewelry?
Use a pair of scissors or small jewelry cutters to carefully cut through the jump ring connecting the chain. Avoid cutting through the actual chain so the piece may be preserved and rewelded later.
Always remove your jewelry if instructed to do so by a medical professional.
Policies
Can I return or exchange my permanent jewelry?
Because each piece is custom measured, cut, and welded specifically for you, all sales are final once the chain has been cut.
Please inspect and approve the fit, chain, charms, and placement before your jewelry is welded.
What if I need to reschedule my appointment?
Please provide as much notice as possible when rescheduling. Appointment deposits, cancellation terms, and rescheduling policies will be included during the booking process.
